Workshops

The South Georgia Associated Libraries hosted a reference workshop on Friday, October 26, 2007, at the Crisp County Center of South Georgia Technical College.

The workshop featured a morning and an afternoon session. The morning session dealt with the basic reference process, and in the afternoon we took a look at reference sources for health sciences.  Our instructor was Professor Anita Ondrusek, from the Valdosta State University, Master of Library and Information Science (MLIS) Program. This workshop provided an excellent opportunity for staff training.

The cost was $5.00 per person for SGAL member institutions and $10.00 per person for non-member institutions.

The Crisp County Center of South Georgia Technical College was chosen to host this event because it is located in the middle of the area we serve.  It is located at Exit 102 on Interstate 75.

Participants who planned attending the Reference Workshops payed at the door, as long as they had emailed, mailed, or faxed Anne Isbell their advanced registration form. If you have any questions, please call or email Anne Isbell at the Lake Blackshear Regional Library, (229) 924-8091.
